Thoughts of a middle aged man…..24 March 2012

I have just been watching the results of the Queensland state election, I do not remember such a landslide. As an outsider looking in the result would seem a bit harsh, I think Anna Bligh has shown strong leadership so I am pleased  to see she has retained her seat, but as I say I am an outsider. I am sure the strong message emanating from Queensland will not be lost on Ms Gillard, a sign of things to come.

Today has been an odd kind of day in my household, neither Brian nor myself have been particularly motivated, a waste of a Saturday really. Tomorrow will be a busy one so perhaps a lazy Saturday is not such a bad thing.

It’s good to see the AFL season is back although the Crows do not get their first run until next weekend. You have to feel sorry for the GWS team, they were really trounced by Sydney tonight, much like what has happened in Queensland really.

I am having some problems with WordPress at the moment, I just cannot get the “Copy a Post” function to work which is a bit of a drag. If anyone knows how to do this please let me know as I have tried the “Help” function and it is no help.

One last thing for today, The Shaanti Project, if you have not heard of this please check it out, a group of Uni students in WA have a great idea they are trying to launch and they could do with your support, my nephew among them.
