It was a promising start to the day when I got up this morning but it soon went down hill, fortunately I had the evening to look forward to.
My entire family was here for dinner tonight, with the exception of Bailey, Ryan’s stepson who is holidaying with his father, even Paula my ex-wife was here.
After an Easter Egg hunt for the grandchildren we had dinner, a chicken and rice dish, a beef mince dish, party pies, steamed dim sims, and bread scrolls, followed by hot cross buns and chocolate cake. Thank-you to Gink for baking the cake, it was one of the best chocolate cakes I have tasted in years, I meant to say seen, one of the best chocolate cakes I have seen in years, forgot I am diabetic :). I didn’t have a bite!
My youngest grandson Zak called me Papa for the first time tonight. All the kids had a great time playing with their cousins, even Calais my youngest granddaughter was determined not to miss a thing. They are all good kids, they rarely fight.
Then to cap my night off the Mighty Adelaide Crows made short work of the Western Bulldogs, but not until after a bit of a fright in the third quarter, but when it counted they rebounded, what an enjoyable game it was.
Tomorrow is another busy day so off to get my beauty sleep.
