Today has been quite a nice day. As I said yesterday Brian’s mother came for lunch, roast pork which if I do so myself was the best roast pork I have ever cooked, the crackling was bloody beautiful. An hour or so later we followed that with a trifle Brian’s mother had made, trifles are not my favourite dessert but it wasn’t bad.
Late in the afternoon my son Ryan called to see if he could borrow my car to pick up his stepson from Blanchetown, as always I said yes. When he picked up the car we had a good visit with him, his fiancée Melissa, and our gorgeous granddaughter Calais.
I have just come came upstairs to write today’s blog, and as is my normal practice I checked Facebook before writing and I saw a post about karma which I shared. Now I am a firm believer in karma, the only problem I have with it is that sometimes it is slower to react than I would like. I can think of many people who have come through my life, particularly my working life, where I hope karma takes several huge bites out of their bums :). It is a shame that none of them would know of my blog because believe me they would know to whom I am referring.
I also think I have suffered my share of karma, and I am over it. What does one have to do to get a break in this life? Brian and I have been through a lot in the last couple of years and I would like to think it is now our turn for a break.
