Thoughts of a middle aged man…..21 June 2012

What miserable weather we have had in Adelaide today, it has rained virtually all day. Sitting here typing I can still hear the wind howling outside and it is still raining. Not that we should be complaining as until recently we have been in a drought and we need this rain to fill our reservoirs. Brian and I know only too well what a drought can do to small business owners, particularly in a rural environment reliant on tourism.

Some good news today, Ryan’s fiancée Melissa has a job at last, only a few hours but there is a promise of more to come, it is about time as these two deserve a break.

Thursday night television, is it just me or is it a load of absolute rubbish. Hamish and Andy‘s Euro Gap Year, Politically Incorrect Parenting, it just gets worse as everything else is a repeat, how many times do I have to say I am over repeats. If it hadn’t been for The Block the night would have been a complete waste, I think I need a hobby.

It is now a little over a week until the reunion with a group of friends that used to hang out as teenagers, we are now all over 50. To say I am looking forward to seeing these people is an understatement, some of them I have not seen for over 30 years.

I am really tired tonight, last night was one of the worst nights sleep I have had in ages, Brian did not sleep well either.

Before I go a quote from The Secret, “Asking the Universe for what you want is your opportunity to get clear about what you want. As you get clear in your mind, you have asked”. Thank you.
