That’s it, my first week back at work is over and I am truly exhausted. It is always mentally draining when one starts a new job, so much to learn, and not just about the job but the company and your workmates as well. I must say that so far I am very happy.
Brian’s mother had day surgery on one of her eyes today, so he has had the day off and must now stay with her for tonight, before taking her back to hospital, presumably to have her bandages removed. We all very happy that she has come through OK and touch wood everything has been succesful.
I have not seen him since this morning, it was odd to come home to an empty house and even stranger to now go to bed alone. Hang on, every cloud has a silver lining, I have the entire bed to myself tonight, what am I complaining about. Suppose I had better not get used to it 🙂
I have a very busy weekend ahead, two days at Dad’s helping him with his garage sale, and off to Ryan’s tomorrow night for Bailey’s 12th birthday. Bailey asked for a rugby ball which we have bought him, but we know nothing about rugby and assumed it would be similar to a Sherrin AFL football, but not so. I hope we have bought the right thing.
When I was young I had an interest in pigeon racing, an interest that has been reignited. It is now my intention to race pigeons once Brian and I have bought our own home again, as it is an interest that will stand me well in retirement by keeping me outside in the fresh air and giving me something to do on a daily basis.
In saying that Graham’s Goodies has a page related entirely to pigeons and pigeon supplies so why not check it out all you pigeon enthusiasts, just click on the link http://www.grahamsgoodies.net/pigeon_racing.html
Thank you for reading.
