Thoughts of a middle aged man…..10 July 2012

I am feeling a little tired at the moment as I had a very early start this morning. Today was my “Welcome” breakfast at the Urban cafe in the old Queen Victoria Hospital building, I had a lovely bircher muesli and highly recommend the cafe. The decor is very nice and the staff were very friendly, a wonderful way to start the day.

After breakfast we arrived at the office a tad later than usual, then it was straight back in the car to do a tour of some of the corporations I manage. Lynton whom I am replacing was an excellent tour guide, I can see I have really got my work cut out for me, but I am up to the task. I have tomorrow off but I am really looking forward to Thursday when Lynton will be off so I will have my first day on my own.

Tonight I attended my first strata meeting with Lynton, it is always interesting to see how someone else conducts a meeting, it really reaffirmed that I know what I am doing. We have another meeting next week which I will chair, that is when I will really feel like a strata manager again.

Brian’s sister and her partner have arrived from Geraldton tonight and will be staying with us for a few days. As Brian does not have a lot of family in Adelaide it will be a great opportunity for them to catch up. Tomorrow night we will have  a family dinner with his mother.

To close a quote from The Secret, “Gratitude is a powerful process for shifting your energy and bringing more of what you want into your life. Be grateful for what you already have, and you will attract more good things”.
