Thoughts of a middle aged man…..18 July 2012

I am feeling a little better than I did yesterday, although I did not sleep very well last night, and neither did Brian. I am well enough for work tomorrow and that is the main thing.

Brian is in a lot of pain tonight with his back, I think it is just his body getting used to a new type of work, something other than sitting at a desk all day. Ultimately I think this new job will help with his back, fingers crossed.

What a lot of hullabaloo at Adelaide Airport tonight, although I suppose it is better to be safe than sorry. Tomorrow morning our interstate guests are leaving so thankfully the matter has now been resolved. That does not sound right does it, you would think I am in a hurry for them to go home but that is not right.

Today would have been the 70th birthday of someone who was once very dear to me, a father figure when I needed one and my own father was not there. It seems strange that he was tragically killed at 39 and here I am 53 years old. RIP Uncle Max.

To finish a quote from The Secret, “Giving thanks for what you want in advance turbo-charges your desires and sends a more powerful signal out into the Universe”. Remember to also be grateful for what you have. Thank you for reading.
