Thoughts of a middle aged man…..12 August 2012

There is really only one word which can come close to adequately describe today, and that is boring. I went out briefly to see my son Blake as he is going interstate, he was at Kane‘s so I got to see his family as well, but I am still not 100% so it was a very brief visit as I was tired and wanted to go home. I also had to pop in and see Melissa and her children.

It is a shame I was still unwell as there was nothing to do at home and no-one to talk to as Brian had gone out for the day.

I saw part of a very poignant show today about the Diggers in Afghanistan and the tragic loss of life. I really don’t know how those young men and women cope emotionally, they are all heroes.

It was good to see Port Power play a half decent game of football today, they may have lost but they did it with some dignity.

I am not sure what I think of Everybody Dance Now, the talent was certainly diverse and it was interesting but I am not sure whether it is something I will be able to get into. Big Brother starts tomorrow night and I am looking forward to seeing how that has changed.

The Olympic Games finishes tonight, congratulations to all our Aussie athletes, there were no losers.  I will not be watching the closing ceremony, a guy has to get his sleep and if it is anything like the opening ceremony, well blah, blah, blah.

Thank you for reading.
