Thoughts of a middle aged man…..4 September 2012

I was absolutely flat-out at work today and to top it off I had to drive to Balhannah for an Annual General Meeting, a little over one hour in the car for a 30 minute meeting. With everything else I had going on I could really have done without that, but its all part of the job. I just wish all meetings were at the office but that will never happen.
I would like to know what fool invented cordless keyboards. Yes I know that is one less cord to worry about and it gives you more flexibility, but the damn batteries do not last long and they always run out at the most inconvenient of times.
My ongoing love hate relationship with the cyclists on Lady Gowrie drive and The Esplanade continues. There is a little thing called a bike line and cyclists are supposed to ride within it, not two or three abreast, not groups of you overtaking each other left right and centre, within the bike lane. I am surprised there are not more accidents, but if there were you can bet that the motorist would get the blame.
To the committee of the North Haven or Osborne or Semaphore cycling club, please get this message to your members, time for a little consideration please. Mutual respect should be the order of the day.
Tomorrow is supposed to be my day off, but some goose made an appointment for me so I have to go to the office for a couple of hours. I am not naming names, mainly because I do not want to incriminate myself and admit I made a mistake. Oops, was that out loud.
Thank you for reading.
