Thoughts of a middle aged man…..10 September 2012

The tragedy of another young life taken too soon, my thoughts go out to the family of Port Power footballer John McCarthy. What more proof do we need that we should live each and every day as if it were our last, you just never know. Why do we spend so much time arguing with those we love when we should just embrace what we have and be grateful for every moment spent with them.

On a lighter note today was my day off, however I did have an Inaugural General Meeting to attend with my boss at 6.00 tonight. It seemed to drag on forever and I didn’t get home again until 8.30pm, I really dislike eating at that time.

I didn’t do very much today, it was all rather boring and mundane, washing, ironing, dishes, did I mention our dishwasher has stopped working and I am impatiently waiting for it to be fixed, I hate washing dishes by hand.

Underbelly : Badness, another brilliant episode tonight, I find it hard to believe how people can have such disregard for another’s life. I belive this story is based on actual events, I just cannot fathom why people do what they do, there is so much evil in this world.

I have taken a break from reading about Kaiser Wilhelm II and have started reading another book about racing pigeons. I know you are probably tired of me harping about racing pigeons but what can I say they are my passion. A guy has to be passionate about something.

Thank you for reading.
