Thoughts of a middle aged man…..16 October 2012

I have decided to tackle Graham’s Goodies from another angle and am now advertising specific products, changing them on a daily basis. Already this seems to be paying dividends, at least I am getting more interest than I was before, fingers crossed this is the kickstart that was needed.

Tonight I am really very tired, I slept terribly last night and after the late night and an early morning, not to mention a very long day, this middle-aged man is too pooped to pop. I won’t be long out of bed tonight. Brian  has beaten me there, he is just as tired.

We really have to upgrade our Internet connection, when it can’t keep up with me typing there is definitely something amiss. I think Optus have a good deal at the moment so sharpen your pencil Telstra or we will be jumping ship.

This morning I was horrified by the news story about the young Pakistani girl Malala Yousufzai shot by the Taliban. Such a brave young girl, I trust she will recover from her injuries and return to her country as an example to everyone. Do the Taliban not realise they do their cause no good by shooting children, whatever that cause is?

Yet more proof that Australia is the lucky country, whatever our faults, and I know we have many, we at least have freedom of speech. We should be grateful for what we have in this wonderful country and not take it for granted. I am proud to be Australian.

Thank you for reading.
