I have to say I am starting to feel a little weary as the last couple of weeks have been full on, each day is getting busier. Fingers crossed that come Friday I may be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Tomorrow I have an Extraordinary General Meeting with a new corporation, one more Inaugural General Meeting next week, and then I start getting ready for January, two inaugural meetings my first week back, and today another new group came on board along with another retirement village yesterday.
Tonight Brian and I had dinner with his mother at a local haunt, $12 schnitzels, you get what you pay for. Tomorrow night I am meeting with some friends from my Solver/Wattyl days for dinner, which I am looking forward to.
For the last couple of weeks I have been reading a book about Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, not quite what I thought, more about their political lives than their private lives and their family. It is heavy going and I have twenty pages to go but I am just too tired to finish it tonight. I need to be a little more discerning when going to the library, I have a habit of late of selecting books that are quite challenging reading, but I am one of those fools that when I start a book I simply have to finish it. I suppose I am broadening my mind but I do not read the type of books that anyone else seems to be interested in talking about, least of all Brian.
Adelaide is having a bit of a hot spell at the moment and I don’t like it. I can’t wait for the cooler weather, not to mention what comes with it, the AFL. As a one-eyed Adelaide Crows supporter I can’t say I am sorry to see Kurt Tippett go to the Sydney Swans, he is over-rated anyway, no-one is worth $70,000 per game. He hardly made a ripple last year and the Crows had one of their best years since entering the competition. Go the Mighty Crows!
That’s it from me tonight, I might check out YouTube before going to bed. Thank you for reading.
