Thoughts of a middle aged man…..28 February 2013

Brian had his fifth spinal block procedure today and touch wood he is walking a little better, and the pain seems to be subsiding. Fingers crossed tomorrow he will be better still and then there is only one way to go, and that’s up. It will be such a wonderful feeling to see him moving freely again and hopefully pain-free.

I heard a disturbing article on the news tonight, a mother and her teacher boyfriend have been gaoled for sexually abusing her young daughter, is there anything more sickening. How can anyone, least of all a mother who has carried that child and given birth to her, sexually abuse your own child, or any child for that matter. Lock them up for life and throw away the key.

Then I heard about the current visit to Lesotho of Prince Harry, and the dedicated way in which he is going about rasing funds for the children of this country. I hope all the knockers are taking note of this, who cares if he has a bit of fun when not on display, he is a tireless worker for children in Third World countries and the British should be proud of him.

Today at work was steady, tomorrow will be busier as I have a huge week next week, an IGM, a postal EGM, two AGMs, the list goes on. Just as well I love what I do, and I work for great bosses that appreciate everything I do. Life is pretty bloody good.

I had an early start this morning as Brian had to be at the hospital by 8.00 and I am pooped now so its time to go. Thank you for reading.
