Thoughts of a middle aged man…..4 March 2013

Today did not start out quite as I planned, up at 6.45, breakfast, shower then out the door at 7.45. As I was opening my car door to put my bag on the front seat I dropped my mobile phone and the back cover came off. I replaced the cover and tried to turn my phone back on, no luck.

After cussing and swearing at my phone and not the idiot that dropped it I tried repeatedly to turn it back on but to no avail. I started the car and drove to work resigned to the fact I would have no phone today, however I thought we had a spare at home and I knew Brian would save the day.

I arrived at the office and Bridgette was sitting in her car with her children, they had become stuck in traffic on the way to school so rather than be late Bridgette thought she would bring them with her and drop them at school a little later. Problem, Bridgette could not find her mobile phone and the security code for the office was on it. Graham arrived to save the day, problem, the security code was on Graham’s mobile phone which he had broken an hour earlier.

Solution, Graham actually remembered the security code, there is a first time for everything. Bridgette dropped her kids at school an hour later and the day went on as if nothing had happened, lots of work done, everybody happy, except that my mobile was broken and Bridgette could not find hers.

I arrived home tonight and Brian found an old mobile phone to transfer my Sim card to, Graham suggests that Brian try to turn on the phone before the big switch. Idiot, Graham had been pushing the wrong button all day.

Thank you for reading.
