Today was a really productive day at the office, but also quite a frustrating one. I got a lot done despite being bombarded by a load of unnecessary emails from a client who will remain anonymous, some people just like the sound of their own voice, or should I say email.
I also had to call Telstra as I found out that the phone line attached to the fire panel at one of my corporations was not connected. I was on the phone for 15 minutes waiting until finally, without speaking to a soul, I was directed to the on-line survey, did they get a mouth full, in a professional and constructive manner naturally. Finally I think I got somewhere on my second call, but will have to test the line on Monday to be sure, at least I spoke to someone this time, although there was still a language barrier. If only that woman in Canberra could read this, how about jobs for Australians in Australia.
Tonight there is a little angel asleep in our spare room, our 5-year-old granddaughter Jade, son number 3s daughter. Jade has read me her readers from school, played games, and coloured in her book most of the evening, no trouble at all.
I can’t sign off without putting in my 2 cents worth about the new Pope, Francis 1. I am disappointed that the cardinals have again elected such an elderly man as it will be quite difficult to effect significant change in only one reign, perhaps next time a younger man to carry on the work of who it is hoped will be the “People’s Pope”. Not that I care all that much as I am not a religious man.
I do believe this Pope has already made a statement in his choice of papal name, Francis 1, this sounds to me like a Pope who intends to make his mark like none before. Fingers crossed he can stamp out child abuse within the church if nothing else.
Brian and Jade are peacefully sleeping and it is time for me to join them. Goodnight and thank you for reading.
