Yet more proof that my constitution is not what it used to be, I just cannot eat some of the foods I have always enjoyed, is that a sign of age. We had a lovely meal with Danielle and Scott last night yet today my stomach has been giving me grief all day. The only thing I can put it down to was the tomato and feta entrée, perhaps there was too much oil in it for me. Brian has had a bit of an upset stomach as well, our bodies are trying to tell us something.
Next weekend we are out for dinner on both Friday and Saturday night, and quite by coincidence it will be Greek both nights. We will have to watch what we eat on Friday in particular or we will not be able to enjoy Saturday night, what a bugger.
I am watching with some trepidation the situation on the Korean Peninsula, I do not believe we can discount anything at the moment. My head tells me that China would not support North Korea should there be a conflict. Yes China remains a Communist state, but I do not recall any real threats against the West for some years. China has really opened its doors to the West and I cannot see them jeopardising that for North Korea.
I have been very fortunate not to have lived through any significant world conflict, I only hope that my children and grandchildren will be just as fortunate. Let us hope that common sense and peace will prevail.
Back to work tomorrow after the four-day Easter break. Goodnight and thank you for reading.
