With all the horrible things going on all over the world it seems like a good time to reflect on my own life. There is the horror of the Boston Marathon, turmoil in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, and who can forget what is happening on the Korean Peninsula.
I have four wonderful sons, and eight gorgeous grandchildren. I have a wonderful partner who loves me, and I love him. We have a nice house, it may only be rented but at the moment it is our home, and we have started looking for our new home, the one will buy together.
We both have jobs that we enjoy, all our bills are paid, we have food on the table and we both have good reliable cars. There is nothing we really need but lots we would like. We are not rich but we are comfortable, if we want something we can but it, if we want to go out for dinner we can.
I watch my sons struggle financially, three of them with young families, and although they cannot see a way out they will find their way as we have. The secret is just to get on with it, roll with the punches, do not get jaded, everything does come to those who wait.
Brian and I have come through some tough times, both emotionally and financially, but we have come through it together, we are better people for the experience, and we are stronger as a couple. Would I change anything, not really.
Goodnight and thank you for reading.
