Can I start tonight by welcoming my new readers and saying thank you to all my readers. This started out as a bit of fun when I was unemployed, something to take my mind off things. I have now been writing for well over a year and I am very humbled that so many are interested in what I have to say. Some days I find it difficult to write anything at all and some days it just flows. I hope you continue to follow me, and please if there is anything at all you would like to hear my opinion on just ask.
Brian and I have been out most of the day, we had a lunch to attend at his boss’s house in Iron Bank, a lovely setting just a bit outside of Crafers in the Adelaide Hills. It was a pleasant enough afternoon, there was a lot of shop talk which became a bit much, and I was designated driver. What a surprise! 🙂
We were asked to take some pre-lunch nibbles so I made a sun-dried tomato dip, and made up a savoury platter of stuffed bell peppers, stuffed olives, bocconcini and dolmades. Lunch was a tagine of Lemon Chicken followed by apple and rhubarb crumble.
We got home about 7.00pm and I settled down to watch the football, Essendon versus Richmond. Somewhere along the line I nodded off but woke up to see Richmond lose, and the good news of the day, Port Power lost again, sorry Haidee, and on your birthday to. The Adelaide Crows play North Melbourne tomorrow and as humble pie is not a taste I have acquired I hope the Crows win.
Tomorrow is a stay at home day, washing, ironing and house work, and the Crows tomorrow afternoon. Goodnight and thank you for reading.
