Today is my day off, and what a beautiful day it is, the sun is shining and all is good with the world. I have managed to do all the washing and most of it is dry, folded up and put away. The fresh smell from your clothes after they have been out in the sunshine and the fresh air is just wonderful, it makes me smile.
What to do for the rest of the day, I know what Brian would say, do the housework. I have a new book that I might start, The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, it comes highly recommended so watch this space for my thoughts.
Last night I watched a new show on Network 10, Under the Dome, it seems just a tad far-fetched and I am not a fan of Stephen King’s books as I do not like fiction, I basically gave it a try as there was not much else on. I am not sure whether I will bother next week, I will have to wait and see what else is on offer.
I have caught up on the rest of my weeks’ entertainment, namely MasterChef and The Americans. The Americans has really caught my imagination, although it is fiction you can imagine that these things could actually have happened, and may happen still. I think the writing and the acting on this show are quite good.
The little cafe over the road from our home shut barely 15 minute ago and the alarm has been going for ten minutes at least, it is driving me berserk. I hope the owner will be back soon to stop it. As I type it has stopped.
I remember what that was like, when Brian and I had our business we would get calls at all hours of the night because the alarm was going off, not once was there anything wrong, which is just as well as neither of us are heroes. It was usually someone having left a window open, or a spider scurrying across the sensor.
No more waffle from me today. Happy Birthday to my nephew Harold, and thank you for reading.
