I’ve been putting it off for a few days now but I can’t put it off any longer, it’s time to go downstairs and face the music, or should I say face the ironing, my favourite job. Brian and I have a stack of nice clean shirts, but unfortunately we have run out of ironed shirts, so time to do my duty. Time to do my duty after I have finished writing anyway.
It’s Wednesday, my usual day off, and after the day I had yesterday I am glad to have a day off. The meeting I was dreading certainly lived up to my expectations, in fact it exceeded them, but onwards and upwards. My second meeting for the day I did not achieve a quorum, despite reminders to all concerned.
The baby Prince of Cambridge has finally arrived, and what a beautiful baby he is. My pick for a name is still Phillip but only time will tell. The Duchess seemed to leave hospital quite quickly, but that is the way things are now. When I was born the mother stayed in hospital and in bed off her feet for 10 days, but now my daughter-in-laws are home the next day, in fact depending on the time and nature of the birth it has been the same day.
I have to admit I have not pushed myself today, I have done the washing and stripped the beds. I went to the chemist for Brian and put petrol in my car, then I posted a birthday card to my nephew Marcus who is 21 today. I know I don’t see you often Mate but I do think of you and I hope you have a great day.
I also watched the shows I have recorded for the week, MasterChef and The Americans. Next week there is a load of new shows starting that I am looking forward to, Big Brother, Underbelly Squizzy and Ripper Street. Brian is pretty keen on watching these shows as well so I will not have to record them.
OK, I have waffled long enough, the shirts will not iron themselves. Bye for now, and thank you for reading.
