What a beautiful Spring day today, more like Summer really. This afternoon I had an AGM in Balhannah in the Adelaide Hills, and I have to admit I do not miss the idiots that think the freeway is their own private race track, they are mad, I was glad to get back to the office.
Some bad news this morning though, one of my bosses was hit by a car whilst walking his dog, fortunately he should make a complete recovery although he did need surgery this evening. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery. In the mean time we will do what we can to help.
Three of my sons are having more than their fair share of ups and downs at the moment, one son in particular is doing it quite tough, he is fighting his way out of a very dark place. Onwards and upwards Son, you are stronger than you realise and a wonderful life is just waiting for you to grab hold and run with it. You can do whatever you want to do, things may just be a little bumpy on the way through. It may be a long and sometimes painful journey but what will be at the end of it will make it all worthwhile. The same goes for the other two, you know which ones you are.
Mad Monday, at least that is what the call it in the AFL, every year it ends in tears for at least one AFL team, this year is St Kilda’s turn. I ask you, what idiots set fire to their shirts to see what happens. They say youth is wasted on the young, they might be right.
I have one very distressed two-year-old granddaughter tonight, Miss Calais left her beloved “Buggy” at child care and can’t sleep without him, Buggy is a stuffed toy ladybird and she has adored it since birth, current deformities and all. The poor child is beside herself, bless her. She won’t let poor Buggy out of her sight again.
