Thoughts of a middle aged man…..6 October 2013

I really don’t like daylight saving, this morning I woke up at 9.00 only to find out it was 11.00, stupid me put my clock back instead of forward. I have lived most of my life with daylight saving but have never really liked it, I think we have quite enough daylight, not to mention the confusion over time zones in our relatively small country.

Yesterday was quite warm and today is remarkably cool for this time of year, is it any wonder people get ill with these constant weather changes. At least we are not in Melbourne where you get all four seasons in one day.

We are off to one of Brian’s workmate’s for a bbq tonight, it is our job to take some pre-dinner nibbles. I have some dolmaides, bocconcini, stuffed bell peppers, stuffed olives, plus a couple of other cheeses with crackers. Not quite sure how many to cater for so I hope I have enough.

Tomorrow we will visit Mum in the nursing home and then off to the Somerset Hotel for a 50th birthday lunch for my sister Carolyn. We haven’t seen Ryan and his family for a while so I would like to call in there as well.

Nothing much else to write today, not exactly scintillating reading I know. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, wherever you may be.
