I just got back from taking my first load of unwanted linen and crockery to the local St Vinnies, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. On the way home I noticed a local “curiosity” shop was open so I decided to have a nosey. I have been driving past this shop for over three years and had always meant to stop, today was the day. I have never seen anything like it, it looked like load after load of unwanted goods had been unloaded into this little shop one trailer at a time starting from the back. I could not walk more than a few feet when I got inside and there was no hope of finding anything of particular interest. I would be surprised if this shop ever sells anything.
The “For Sale” sign is now out the front of our home and the advertisement is on the internet, no price quoted though. The ad says the front room is bedroom 1, obviously just a sales ploy as that room is not equipped to be bedroom 1, the back bedroom which we use as the master is the real one. It is amazing how different homes look on-line, this one looks lovely, particularly as the photographs were taken at dusk.
I suppose I had better get off my butt and pack another box or two, and I have to rake up the fronds from the pine tree in the backyard so the gardener can mow the laws tomorrow. I am grateful that is one job we will not have to do again.
