Thoughts of a middle aged man…..7 May 2014

Cold and noisy, that just about sums it up at my house today. Why is it cold, because it’s very chilly in Adelaide today and I have the whole house opened up. Why have I got the whole house opened up, because I have the pest controllers here doing a chemical spray to keep the house safe from termites.

They have cut a hole in the floor of the spare room, and then cut holes in the two parapet walls under the house, the good news, no termites. I am a bit frustrated though, I have the day off but I can’t do any washing until after they have gone, and they will be here all day.

I am both deeply saddened and horrified at the same time by events in Nigeria, innocent teenage girls being kidnapped by the militant group Boko Haram, their ultimate fates unknown. This could not happen in a western country, the world must unite to prevent this from continuing and to bring these girls safely home to their families.

Meanwhile the continuing tragedy that is the Ukraine, more innocents dying on a daily basis, a country divided but by whom, the conspiracists are having a field day. All I can say is God Bless Australia, regardless of your politics we don’t know how lucky we are.

For a bit of light entertainment I watched The Morning Show on Channel 7 this morning and I could not believe my ears, Larry and Kylie were interviewing Princess Diana’s psychic who claimed the Princess has visited her since her passing, and told her the Palace was behind her death. How easy it is to make such claims when one can offer no proof. When will they let Princess Diana rest, show some respect for her family please.

That’s it, me done, fingers going numb from the cold.
