I have to say I have had better weeks, it has not all been bad by any stretch, but it has not been all fun either. I have finally found out what my long-term cough has been, a blood test confirmed Whooping Cough, after months of incorrect diagnosis, after months of being contagious completely unbeknown to me, I am now on the mend. This is the third time I have had Whooping Cough in five years, but at least now I really understand what I am looking for so should I get it again it should not drag on as long. I feel quite guilty though as I have subjected my family to this bug for months, in particular my granddaughter Caitlin who has an immune deficiency.
Brian’s sister Leanne has now returned to Geraldton, she seemed to enjoy her visit, I know Brian and his mother Joan enjoyed having her here. It feels like week’s since we had a home cooked meal as we have eaten out all week, I am really looking forward to our pork chops tonight.
Last night there was a bit of a drama with one of my sons, he told me it was really nothing major it is just something that got out of hand and was taken out of context, I am not so sure. Call it father’s intuition, or maybe I am just a worry wart, but I think there is something wrong and my boy needs a bit of help.
Racing pigeons are now officially on hold until 2015 as Brian and I have decided we want to go to New Zealand in the New Year. I suppose you can’t have your cake and eat it to, particularly if you are diabetic. 🙂
After years of stalling I have now officially bequeathed my old reliable flip phone to that great mobile phone graveyard in the sky, I now have a touch phone. Don’t ask me what sort as I am just about ready to throw it at someone, but I suppose I will get used to it. Brian has a new phone as well so at least I don’t have to listen to him complain about his old phone any more, not for another few years anyway.
