Feral neighbours Part 2

A few weeks back I wrote about the problems we constantly have with our feral neighbours, me and my big mouth, now things have gone up a notch, a very big notch.

These people now have a dog, quite a pretty dog as far as dogs go, but they cannot keep the damn thing in their yard. All along our fence line there are holes this dog has dug to come through to our dog. Poor Rocky’s little patch has been invaded by a playful young dog that is just too much for our old boy.

This has now been going on for nearly a fortnight, it is a daily ritual, either Brian goes over there to return their dog, or the neighbour’s children knock on our front door to pick up the dog. Not once has the mother done us the courtesy of coming over, no she can’t get out of her own shadow, she sends the children to do her dirty work.

The mother does not even answer her front door every time Brian returns the dog so he has to bring it back again, and on the odd time she does answer the door she is all apologetic.

I don’t mind anyone having pets but keep them in your own yard. If it was up to me I would report her and the dog to the council but as she and her “friend” are so feral  Brian does not want to start something we may regret. There are always unsavoury looking characters hanging around that house so I know where he is coming from but this has to stop.

It is our intention to put this house on the market once we return from our holiday in May, won’t the backyard look lovely with a fence line littered with bricks and rocks filling in the holes this damn dog has dug.

It is a sorry state of affairs when we cannot enjoy the peace and quiet of our own home. I cannot wait to get out of this house.
